Lately, all areas of food service are seeing trends that are offering something unique, adventurous and unexpected. And this trend isn’t limited to gourmet kitchens and big city hipster hangouts, your local pizza shop can tap into the creative culinary creations as well. In one of our latest FoodServiceWarehouse.com’s Education Center articles, “Pizza Ingredients: How to Differentiate Your Pizzaria From the Crowd” we examine the practice of setting your pizza business apart with unique and natural ingredients. Similarly, in a June 2012 article from Pizza Marketplace, they found that customers are looking for the following attributes among the usual suspects: unique ingredients, artisan or specialty crafted, small bite-sized pizza appetizers, spicy ingredients and chicken-topped pizza.
