Free Starbucks Today
Starbucks has always done creative promotions especially when it comes to advancing eco-friendly initiatives.
Today’s eco-friendly promotion is focused on encouraging patrons to use less of their iconic paper cups and instead use reusable coffee cups. Today only, customers who bring a reusable cup to Starbucks will receive a free cup of brewed coffee. For years, Starbucks has recognized the need to reduce the amount of trash they are producing and this promotion is another attempt at furthering the effort. The company currently has a goal of serving up to a fourth of their beverages in reusable cups by 2015. This endeavor began as early as 1985 when Starbucks began discounting $0.10 per cup of coffee to patrons who supply their own cup. By taking steps like these combined with the new wave of environmental responsibility building among consumers, their goal will undoubtedly be met.
Since the first store opened in 1971 the company has maintained its simple and amazingly successful goal of sharing great coffee with friends and making the world a better place. Just go into any one of the 15,000 stores open today and you will immediately feel the very comfortable, earth-friendly vibe. The fact that Starbucks has maintained that feel despite their size and growth is really quite the accomplishment. They have managed to create a loyal, dedicated customer base all over the world. They are now utilizing those loyal customers to continue making the world a better place. It’s a win-win situation for the company, consumers and the planet. I applaud Starbucks for their efforts and ingenuity.
So take a break from doing those taxes and enjoy a free cup of coffee in a reusable cup!
